Retro gaming enthusiasts have expressed their appreciation for older classics in various ways over the years. One retro gamer group that also happens to design custom shoes has found an incredible new way to pay homage to the consoles of the past.

Shoe website The Sole Supplier has created numerous concept designs for sneakers such as Adidas Forums and Air Jordan 4s. The incredible lineup of shoes covers classic consoles including both versions of the Super Nintendo and Sega Dreamcast as well as shoes based on the Nintendo GameCube, N64, PlayStation, and Sega Master System. Each shoe features an iconic look that fans of the retro consoles can appreciate.

While Europe received a Super Nintendo with a notably colorful controller in 1992, North America was greeted with one that was more prominently purple. Both of these consoles have been represented in fittingly colorful shoes on The Sole Supplier. The SNES US shoes are Air Jordan 4s, while the SNES EU shoes are Adidas Superstars.

Just like the Super Nintendo, Europe received a Sega Dreamcast that differed slightly in the color scheme. While the Sega Dreamcast in North America released with a red swirl featured on all of the merch associated with the product, Europe had an equally promoted blue swirl. The Sole Supplier's shoes inspired by the Sega Dreamcast are equally distinct as the blue swirl adorns the Dreamcast EU x Adidas Superstars and the red swirl brightens up the Dreamcast US x Air Jordan 1s.

Taking a departure from the colorful SNES and Sega Dreamcast shoes, The Sole Supplier has created shoes based on the original PlayStation that are rightfully grey. The black and grey color scheme of these Adidas Forums is only defined as a PlayStation shoe due to the buttons that have been featured on every DualShock since the first one. While they're the least colorful of The Sole Supplier's shoes, these PlayStation Forums will still stand out to retro gamers.

Arguably the most colorful of The Sole Supplier's shoes is the purple Air Jordan 4s based on the Nintendo GameCube. The grey of the GameCube controller's joystick and D-pad are represented in the trim of the Jordan 4s, while the buttons and C-stick are defined by smaller details near the GameCube logo. The B-button is further mirrored on these shoes by the red Air Jordan logo on the shoe's tongue.

While various Nintendo and Sega consoles are represented on The Sole Supplier, it has yet to create a custom shoe based on the Xbox which launched in 2001. The shoes are mostly based on the likeness of a retro consoles' controller more than the console itself, but the Sega Dreamcast shoes are particularly focused on the trademark swirl.
