European gamers anticipating Insomniac’s upcoming Resistance 3 should check out the following trailer detailing the game’s Survivor Edition. The Survivor Edition includes multiple goodies for Resistance 3 fans to sink their teeth into, including: Joseph Capelli’s Journal, a Chimera Firing Range Target, SRPA Playing Cards, an SRPA Hip Flask, Capelli’s Canvas Satchel, and Chimera Toy Soldiers.

The Survivor Edition trailer also shows off the many pre-order bonuses players can look forward to (depending on which retailer they choose). Unlike the contents of the Survivor Edition, all the pre-order bonuses are in-game items and mostly pertain to Resistance 3’s multiplayer, with the exception of the “real-life” Chimera tooth necklace. The pre-order bonuses include: SRPA Black Ops Skin, Infected Nathan Hale Skin, Air Fuel Grenade, Multiplayer title of Sentinel, a multiplayer booster, or the aforementioned Chimera tooth necklace. While all of these pre-order bonuses are very intriguing, nothing really beats wearing a Chimera’s tooth around your neck.

At this point in time the Survivor Edition has only been announced for PAL regions, and there is no word on whether or not it will find it’s way to North America. Many Resistance fans have been clamoring for the Survivor Edition to come to North America, and with all the content included it’s easy to see why. The Survivor Edition packs a lot of content that many Resistance fans would love to get a hold of.

Unless Sony announces something soon, it’s highly likely that the closest thing North American gamers are going to get to the Survivor Edition is the Doomsday Edition, which includes a copy of Resistance 3, a PlayStation Move Wand, a Navigation Controller, a PlayStation Eye, and a Sharpshooter peripheral, similar to the SOCOM 4: Full Deployment Edition.

As a fan of the Resistance franchise, I’m eagerly hoping that the Sony brings this bundle to North America as I’d love to get those SRPA playing cards and the Toy Soldiers. Are you hoping Sony will bring the Survivor Edition to other territories, or would you like to see us get something different?

Resistance 3 releases September 6, 2011, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
