Resistance 3 New Screens

Well, it looks like Insomniac and friends had their secret revealed prematurely and appear to be gearing up for Resistance 3. There was a large clearly billboardish contraption spotted flaunting the name and logo in Shreveport, Louisiana during the  filming of a new movie (Louisiana? There must be a gator scene in this movie).

This image comes from NeoGaf member, goldsoundz, who posted pictures of the billboard in all of its glory. The billboard appears to have been used as a subliminal advertisement on the set of Columbia Pictures' new movie entitled Battle: Los Angeles. The funny thing is Sony actually owns Columbia Pictures so an in-movie advertisement doesn't seem so far-fetched. The billboard would have been made now in order to be in the film for its February 2011 release and actually correspond with the game's intended release date.

The kicker about this billboard is that the logo actually seems to detail where the game will take place, as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building can clearly be seen embedded in the lettering. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon or a brain scientist to realize that the game's setting is New York City. Who knows when Insomniac will get around to putting in an official announcement, but we will likely hear something around E3 at the latest.

Probably the coolest thing that they could do with Resistance 3 taking place in New York? King Kong like Chimera scaling the Empire State Building! Hellz Ya!
