The entire online community of Capcom’s Resident Evil Village seems to be completely smitten by the horror game’s resident tall lady Lady Dimitrescu. So much so that Capcom has been seen leveraging on the character’s internet popularity and using her image to market the title across the globe. As part of a promotional marketing campaign in Asia, the company has recently plastered her likeness on the trams that go about the city of Hong Kong.

With a fan following that only continues to grow, this is not the first time that life-sized images of Lady Dimitrescu have been found in the real world. Last month, fans were quick to spot almost true-to-life standees of the Resident Evil Village character in their favorite gaming haunts in Japan and the same can be said online, with many cosplayers showcasing their personal interpretations of the terrifying character. Fans would likely agree that some of the cosplay has been frighteningly accurate, with an Olympic medalist cosplaying Lady Dimitrescu at her amazing height of 6 feet and 9 inches.

In Hong Kong, local fans of Resident Evil Village are likely to enjoy seeing the wildly popular Lady Dimitrescu on one of their most popular modes of transportation. Video game analyst for China and Asia, Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX), shared some photos of the ads on Twitter, stating that these seem to be part of the company's promotions for Resident Evil Village in the city. With Lady Dimitrescu standing at her confirmed 9’6” height, Hong Kong's double-decker trams seem to be more than perfect to show off her gigantic stature.

With how popular Lady Dimitrescu has become with fans, it is no surprise that Capcom has utilized her to generate more awareness and fan engagement for the eighth title in the Resident Evil series. And it seems the development team is willing to do more with her character, highlighting her in the title's initial demos, gameplay trailers, and even using her to announce the exciting new photo mode feature of Resident Evil Village.

As the launch of Resident Evil Village draws nearer, fans are likely anticipating more information about the game to come from the Capcom's development team. With an online showcase announced for April 15, it seems fans and interested players do not have to wait for too long. Hopefully the new Resident Evil Village trailer, brand-new gameplay footage, and some surprises will keep fans hungry and wanting for more until the game officially launches this May 2021.
