Capcom is set to release the hotly anticipated sequel to Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village, in just a few short weeks. The game, which has been stirring up lots of conversations due to its similarities to Resident Evil 4, has received yet another demo that allows fans to try out two sections of the game --the village and the castle. And one player dug into the menus and has discovered a neat feature for the game, at least for the PS5 version.

The menu option is within the camera settings in the Resident Evil Village demo. Right at the bottom of the menu, players can see that there's an option for "Motion Sensor Camera Mode." This is essentially a fancy phrase for motion control aiming with the new DualSense controller. A Twitter user, however, has found out the feature doesn't exactly work like advertised.

Brilliant Bidoof went to Twitter to share their findings and shared a screenshot of the menu option. This option in games would normally be used to assist players in aiming for a certain position on the screen while still also using the right stick for extra precision. Many Nintendo games such as Splatoon uses gyro aiming, and even Monster Hunter Rise uses the functionality for long-range weapons, which happens to be another Capcom game.

For Resident Evil Villagethough, Brilliant Bidoof realizes that the option disables any input from the right analog stick, essentially shattering any reason for players to have the option ticked. Folks should keep in mind that these menu options will most likely have some changes with the full release of the game in May.

Gyro controls are meant to assist the player in aiming in shooter-type games, so this feature being the way it is really doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully, Capcom realizes the issue with this functionality and changes it for the launch of the game in May.

Another strange thing about the camera option is that it doesn't seem to be available for PS4 players. The DualShock 4 controller certainly has motion control features built inside of it, so there's no reason for the toggle to be missing. Perhaps Capcom is using this new demo to test the gyro functionality to hopefully add it for other platforms when the game releases.

Fans will simply have to wait and see for now.

Resident Evil Village will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
