Resident Evil Village can be an intense experience, especially on higher difficulties. As a survival horror game, one of the main principles of the gameplay in Resident Evil Village is item management. Players who aren't careful will find themselves short on ammo or healing items when it matters most. Anyone willing to explore will have an advantage, because precious items are hidden in every nook and cranny of the game world. That being said, some players might need a little help finding the hidden resources in tricky places like the Castle Dimitrescu Library.
The map system in Resident Evil Village is a boon to item hoarders and completionists. Any room that still has items or secrets to discover will be colored red on the map. A blue room is one that has been completely explored, so players can move on without worrying about missing important Resident Evil Village items. Those who want to make sure that the Library is colored blue on their map can use this guide as a reference. There are some tricky hiding spots in this particular area of the castle.
When players first reach the Library, they will have to deal with one of Dimitrescu's daughters before they can safely explore. Daniela Dimitrescu is a problematic foe. By this point in the game, players should understand that the vampire ladies can only be damaged when exposed to natural light. With no breakable windows in the Library, the only option is to use the lever near the center of the room to open the huge skylight above. After the fight, players should make sure to pick up Daniela's Crystal Torso and then explore the room at their leisure.

There is a strangely large amount of ammo in this room, considering it's just a library. Players who are struggling with the final boss fight of Castle Dimitrescu might find it helpful to revisit the area to stock up, if they hadn't done so previously. It would also be wise to sell the Crystal Torso to the Duke to fund some weapon upgrades. The extra 5,000 Lei goes a long way in the early stages of the game.
Players who wish to fully explore the castle might run into some snags in other rooms as well. Several items are well-hidden in the Main Hall, for example. This can be a troublesome area to explore once Lady Dimitrescu starts prowling around in search of Ethan. The effort spent exploring is well worth it in Resident Evil, though. Preparation is the key to surviving the village.
