The Resident Evil Village fanbase has had an interesting response to Lady Dimitrescu, lovingly called the "Tall Vampire Lady" by her army of fans. With Lady Dimitrescu's popularity has also come a different type of fan, a type that wants nothing more than to be stepped on. As it turns out, being stepped on by Lady Dimitrescu would cause some considerable damage, as evidenced by a new video making the rounds.
YouTuber Kyle Hill, who often blends nerdy entertainment properties with the science that would make them possible, has now tackled the question of what would happen if one were to be stepped on by the 9-foot 6-inch tall Lady Dimitrescu. Unfortunately for anyone hoping to be squashed, the fallout from such a step isn't pretty.
Hills' video dives into the finer points of how much damage Lady Dimitrescu's step would cause, though it does take an "indirect approach" as Hill puts it. That's because, while she has a canon height, Lady Dimitrescu doesn't have a canon weight, which is important for calculating the force for a step. Hill also mentions that Lady Dimitrescu is a vampire, which would likely have an effect on the outcome.
By estimating Lady Dimitrescu's BMI, Hill was able to extrapolate that she weighs somewhere around 450 pounds. That alone is a lot of weight, but Lady Dimitrescu also wears high heels, which would focus her weight into a condensed area, and by extension, hurt the area being stepped on quite a bit more.
Hill goes on to calculate the pressure value of one of Lady Dimitrescu's steps, which would apparently be about 50 million pascals of pressure, according to the video. Apparently, that's over half of what someone would feel at the deepest part of the ocean, which is to say one of Lady Dimitrescu's steps would do some serious damage to a person. The video then estimates how much force one of Lady Dimitrescu's kicks would generate. In the end, it's nearly half of what it would take to puncture structural steel.
The video concludes by showing what effect the step would really have on a human, using a rope and pulley system with weights to show off how much damage it would cause. As one could probably guess, the heel slides through the head with ease, so it would almost certainly kill whoever is on the other end. Given that Lady Dimitrescu will be hunting Resident Evil Village players, fans might want to be on the lookout. Of course, there are still plenty of people that want to be stepped on, too.
