The Resident Evil Village fanbase has been experiencing a strange mix of intimidation and infatuation with the vampiric Lady Dimitrescu since her reveal. However, the most recent discovery, as made by a Resident Evil Village leaker, can be considered quite unsettling no matter how much admiration is had for the antagonist.

Although everything there is to know about Dimitrescu won't be known until the full game releases, many fans have taken an interest in the enigmatic woman. Some have gone as far as to bring the iconic character into other games, while others have participated in some pretty convincing cosplays. By now, Lady Dimitrescu has already planted a seed in the hearts of many as a charming personality. Still, she is a forthcoming enemy for players to face, and as they venture through Village, they'll see her somewhat often.

As of today, a media embargo lift on Resident Evil Village was implemented, leaking tons of new information and gameplay prior to release. Twitter user AestheticGamer revealed light details concerning what to expect while navigating the Castle section. According to them, Lady Dimitrescu stalks the player dynamically much as Jack did in Resident Evil 7 and Mr. X before that. Despite some scripted moments, she wanders her Castle and reacts relative to player movements.

Although the stalking feature pulls directly from previous entries in the franchise, Lady Dimitrescu stalking the player makes sense lore-wise. She was partially based on the Hachishakusama in Japanese folklore, a demon spirit that stalks its victims in wait of the precise time to strike. Perhaps, if anything, the major difference between previous hunters in the franchise and Lady Dimitrescu is how much the fanbase adores her.

Admiration aside, Castle Dimitrescu has a lot of tight corridors and small doorways. Those that were brave enough to play Resident Evil 7 know how unsettling it was for Jack to make his random appearances. With Lady Dimitrescu, it'd be a horrifying sight to watch as she maneuvers through the decorated passageways in search of Ethan. That's made even more obvious in a clip from another Twitter user, wherein the towering woman corners and prepares to kill him.

As much as fans love her, she definitely has only one plan in mind for Ethan. Any encounters with Lady Dimitrescu won't be as fantasy-inspired as some may want, although as a horror experience, Resident Evil Village is shaping up to be one of the most unforgettable.

Resident Evil Village is set to release on May 7, 2021, for the PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
