Under normal circumstances, the fact that Resident Evil Village is focused on bringing more supernatural and fantasy style enemies into the franchise for the first time would have been headlining news. Alongside witches and werewolves, vampires are also present and hunting returning protagonist Ethan Winters around the large castle towering over the Medieval style village. However, the fanbase has been obsessed with one of the main villains ever since her reveal, taking the spotlight away from some of the other typically noteworthy additions.

Alcina Dimitrescu became an internet sensation following her reveal during Capcom's Resident Evil showcase back in January thanks to her towering height and extravagant appearance. Compared to other domineering villains like Mr. X, Tyrant, and other classic style Resident Evil monsters, Lady Dimitrescu seemingly offers a different type of villain thanks to her frighteningly large size and presence. Fans quickly became obsessed with her, even pushing art director Tomonori Takano to comment on her height, which he revealed was nearly 10 feet tall with her high heels and wide brimmed hat included.

Naturally, fan obsession has led to even more strange questions, one of which is in relation to Dimitrescu's foot size. When asked directly, Takano revealed that Dimitrescu's shoe size comes in at an impressive 17.3 inches (44 cm), nearly double of the average woman's shoe size. Takano went on to mention that he originally designed her shoes based on a real pair of high heels, which were scanned and resized digitally to match her monstrous height inside of Resident Evil Village.

While it's certainly not standard to ask about villain character proportions, the discussion hasn't stopped other companies from jumping in as well. Ubisoft decided to throw its hat in the height ring, releasing a size comparison chart between Lady Dimitrescu and Assassin's Creed Valhalla characters, Eivor and Basim. Naturally, neither Assassin's Creed character comes close to matching the height of the fan favorite Tall Vampire Lady, both seemingly come up to her hips. Basim stands at 1.82 m tall, while Eivor comes in slightly less at 1.80 m, compared to the domineering 2.92 m for Dimitrescu.

Following Dimitrescu's reveal, Takano and the rest of the Resident Evil 8 team had no idea she'd quickly go on to become the breakout star, especially considering her role inside of the game. While intentionally made to look a bit more extravagant than what was used for Resident Evil 7, the fanbase's reaction to her was beyond what Capcom saw coming. Takano was shocked to read comments from fans wanting to "get chased by her" or losing on purpose to see her. However, the developers are thrilled with the overall reception and promise that there is much more to Resident Evil Village than what has been shown.

Resident Evil Village is set to release on May 7, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
