Today, Microsoft's Director of Programming for Xbox Live, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, has revealed that through a Capcom publisher sale for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, the entire Resident Evil series has been discounted for gamers on the platforms. With this being the case, every title available for the systems have received considerable price reductions in order to celebrate Capcom's catalog of titles, as well as the survival-horror franchise.

For those excited by the Capcom sale specifically for the Resident Evil series who are wondering what the cost of each of the titles are now, they will likely be surprised at how much cheaper they have become. The original Resident Evil is now $10, Resident Evil 0 is $12, Resident Evil 4 is $10, Resident Evil 5 is $10, Resident Evil 6 is $10, Resident Evil 7 is $39, and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Deluxe Edition is $12.

In addition to the actual games in the Resident Evil series being reduced in price in Capcom's publisher sale on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, some of the games' add-ons have been discounted as well. For instance, Resident Evil 0's Complete Costume Pack costs $5, Resident Evil: Revelations 2's Costume Pack costs $5, and Resident Evil: Revelations 2's Season Pass costs $8.

Of course, Xbox fans excited to nab as many Resident Evil titles as they can on the platforms on the cheap should note that the Capcom publisher sale won't last for long. As a matter of fact, Major Nelson has stated that the discounts are valid starting today through May 8, 2017, giving gamers a week to snag the deals.

Taking all of this into consideration, it will be interesting to see if this Capcom publisher sale for Xbox will assist the units of Resident Evil 7 that get sold in order to give the title an assist after it failed to reach its sales target of 4 million copies sold by the end of March 2017. Without a doubt, plenty of people will snatch RE7 up on Xbox One, especially since it looks to be the cheapest that the game has been since its launch at the beginning of this year.

Capcom's publisher sale including the Resident Evil franchise on Xbox 360 and Xbox One lasts from today until May 8, 2017.
