The PlayStation Store is currently holding a sale that offers deep discounts on select Resident Evil games. The store's sale is the perfect opportunity for those who haven't played any of the Resident Evil games to catch up before the release of the highly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 3 on April 3rd. It is currently unknown how long the discount on Resident Evil games will be available, so players interested should take advantage now while the deals are still available.

Headlining the PlayStation Store's Resident Evil franchise sale is Resident Evil 7, which serves as the latest installment in the long-standing survival-horror franchise. The 2017 game is available for $14.99, which is 25% cheaper than its original price of $19.99. Resident Evil 7 revolves around the story of a new character named Ethan Winters, who finds himself trapped in a mansion with insane inhabitants all while searching for his missing wife Mia. Resident Evil 7 is also the first mainline game in the series to be played via a first-person perspective.

Resident Evil serves as the beginning of what would be the most popular survival-horror franchise of all time and revolves around Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine who are trapped in an abandoned mansion after investigating cannibalistic murders that are occurring outside Raccoon City.

Meanwhile, it appears that Capcom is locked and loaded for the upcoming release of Resident Evil 3 remake. Recently, the developer released gameplay previews of the remake, giving players a preview on what to expect from the upcoming game. Additionally, the new gameplay footage of Resident Evil 3 confirmed that the dodge mechanic and explosive items will be making a return in the upcoming game.

Moreover, Capcom also announced last week that just like Resident Evil 2 and 7, Resident Evil 3 remake will be getting a playable demo. Unfortunately, details about when the demo will release and what it will cover are still being kept under wraps. However, based on Capcom's history with releasing demos, it is possible the playable preview will come out two weeks before the game's release at the very least.
