Capcom released the asymmetrical online game Resident Evil: Resistance alongside the Resident Evil 3 remake. While the multiplayer offering hasn't received quite as much attention as the remade survival horror classic — for better or worse given its mixed reception — there are still plenty of players taking part in the experience that pits four Survivors against one Mastermind who is attempting to prevent their escape from a cruel experiment.

The developers released a roadmap confirming they will be supporting Resident Evil: Resistance for some time with additions like new characters, starting with Jill Valentine as a Survivor on April 17. But for those who want to know how their personal favorite choices on either side of the aisle stack up to worldwide statistics, Capcom has made the information available as "World Records."

Based on the World Records page, the most popular of the four Masterminds in Resistance as of this writing is Annette Birkin, an Umbrella employee who co-created the G-Virus alongside her husband. She has participated in 655,094 experiments and won 384,863 of them. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Umbrella Chairman Ozwell E. Spencer, who has run under 150,000 experiments.

Meanwhile the most popular Survivor characters are Valerie Harmon, a support class; January Van Sant, a hacker class; and Becca Woolett, a damage class. All three characters have joined over a million experiments each, though none have success rates above 50 percent. Part of this disparity — though it is generally to be expected in an asymmetric game — might be the result of an unfavorable loot box system.

Those loot boxes unlock anything from aesthetic items to new abilities for characters, and the Resistance World Records are just as informative about what tools players are utilizing. For instance they show how Survivor players have killed over 18 million basic zombies and nearly 15 million zombie dogs, with some of the most popular weapons being the Matilda and Quickdraw Army guns.

While Resident Evil: Resistance is unlocked immediately alongside anyone's purchase of Resident Evil 3, interested players may need to download the multiplayer game separately. Before jumping in, it would probably be smart to take a look at Capcom's website and get a good idea of what obstacles may be encountered based on previous experiments.

Resident Evil Resistance is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, alongside Resident Evil 3.
