It’s an exciting time to be a Resident Evil fan; DLC for the hit Resident Evil 8 is confirmed for a late October release, the all-time great Resident Evil 4 will be getting a remake in early 2023, and new leaks speculate that Resident Evil 9 will be taking an interesting Silent-Hill-esque approach. Collectors and megafans also have some extra RE content to look forward to with the forthcoming release of a limited edition Nemesis figure developed by Numskull Designs in conjunction with Capcom.Numskull Designs has had a hand in some particularly stellar stuff of late; an epic recreation of Destiny’s Lord Shaxx was revealed in June and was followed by the confirmation of an adorable Destiny 2 hive worm plush. The merchandise manufacturer is also known for the TUBBZ Cosplaying Ducks figurine line, which saw the once-menacing Resident Evil villains Mr. X and William Birkin transformed into adorable bath buddies.RELATED: Dead By Daylight Leak Reveals Possible Resident Evil Killer And SurvivorsThe upcoming Nemesis figure, which is now available for pre-order on the Numskull Designs site, is based on the antagonist's reimagined visage seen in the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3. Immaculately detailed and sporting his iconic heat-seeking rocket launcher, this 10.9-inch figure looks to be the stuff of nightmares—and Resident Evil most fans likely wouldn’t have it any other way.

Numskull actually released a similar model that coincided with the tremendous remake of Resident Evil 2 in 2019. The 6.5-inch hand-painted figure depicted a licker, one of the game’s most fearsome enemies, and it retailed for just shy of one hundred dollars. That may seem like a steep sum to non-collectors, but the quality of Numskull Designs’ work isn’t to be underestimated; it’s tough to imagine more lifelike or lovingly-rendered official Resident Evil merchandise than what Numskull has on offer.

Numskull also dabbled with other survival horror franchises, releasing some wickedly well-realized Silent Hill figures in 2021. Replicas of the infamous nurses seen in the first three titles, these bobbleheads actually partially imitated the disturbingly dexterous movements of the in-game enemies, adding a whole new level of uncanny verisimilitude to the already astoundingly-detailed product. While it’s hard to say if the nurses will return in the rumored Silent Hill 2 remake, they’ll regardless remain indelibly tied to the iconic series.

The same could be said of Resident Evil’s nemesis, though his return in a future RE entry is much less likely. That said, there is reason to believe that longtime RE antagonist Albert Wesker will be making an all-new appearance in the Resident Evil 4 remake, so anything is possible.
