Resident Evil is the story of Leon Scott Kennedy. Since appearing in Resident Evil 2, the former rookie cop of the Raccoon City PD has been the cover star of the franchise for many years: Resident Evil 4The Darkside ChroniclesResident Evil: DamnationResident Evil 6Resident Evil: Vendetta, and many others.

Unfortunately, Leon has been AWOL from the main entries of the game since 2012 Resident Evil 6. He's a rugged and knowledgeable survivor who undoubtedly has done plenty of over-the-top things that he is not proud of. So, as Capcom's gearing up for Village, there is never a better time to look back at the top ten craziest things Leon has ever done.

10 Joining The RPD To Solve The Arklay Mountains Murder

According to Leon's file from The Umbrella Chronicles, Leon wanted to join the Raccoon City Police Departement to solve the infamous murder in the Arklay Mountains, which he didn't know was the base of Umbrella. It was a bizarre reason, knowing that Leon hadn't even reached 20 years of age when he first enrolled at the police academy.

9 Going To Raccoon City During The Outbreak Even After Being Urged To Not Go

Before the events of Resident Evil 2, after graduating from the academy, Leon traveled to Raccoon City without knowing that a massive catastrophe was going on. A mysterious phone call warned him not to go, but he still insisted on going. He should have taken the call seriously because let's be real, things are always about to get messy if anything like that happens in a horror movie.

8 Leaving Lieutenant Branagh Alone

After arriving in the city, Leon made his way to the Raccoon City Police Departement Station, which had already fallen to zombies. The only un-zombified humans he met at the station were Elliot and Leon's lieutenant, Marvin Branagh.

Unfortunately, as the latter succumbed to his wounds, Leon was forced to leave him to be turned into a zombie. He didn't even insist on treating his injury.

7 Still Wanting To Help Ada Chase Dr. Annette

After making his way to the station's basement, Leon met Ada Wong, who claimed to be an FBI agent trying to connect the dots of the Raccoon City Outbreak. He might be a rookie, but he's still hell-bent on helping Ada chase Dr. Annette Birkin, the mastermind behind the G-virus.

Leon had no idea what kind of danger lay ahead, yet he's too hot-headed to refrain himself from chasing whom he thought was "the bad guy" of this story.

6 Letting Ada Use Him

Leon was too late when he found out that Ada Wong was a paid, corporate spy trying to sell the G-virus to Umbrella's competitors. His ideal and puppy love blinded him so bad that he let Ada use him as her puppet to get the G-virus sample.

The foreshadowing situation happened again during the events of Resident Evil 6, but we'll get into that later on this list.

5 Accepting Government's Offer To Make Him A Special Agent

After escaping the collapse of Raccoon City, Leon started taking care of Sherry and parted ways with Claire before they were taken forcefully by the US Military. It turned out that the US President, Adam Benford, was keen on recruiting him personally as a special agent, knowing that Leon was one of the few survivors in Racoon City that night.

Being the everyman he always has been, Leon accepted the offer, albeit with minimum experience. He's crazy enough to take the deal, and his career from a day-one rookie police officer skyrocketed that fast.

4 Investigating The Disappearance Of President Graham's Daughter Alone

Would you travel to a country where you don't speak its language and where two superpowers are fighting over its control? Well, Leon would, and more than that, he was assigned to find Ashley, the president's missing daughter, all on his own.

In Resident Evil 4, Leon was sent alone to investigate an isolated community called Los Iluminados in Spain. That is probably the craziest thing a sane human would do.

3 Putting Himself On The Front Lines Of The Eastern Slav Civil War

The rookie Leon is long gone, and during the Eastern Slav Civil War, he put himself on the line of fire. In Damnation, Leon was ordered out of his vacation to investigate the ongoing, bio-civil war in the war-torn Holigrad.

Then, everything went south as Ivan Judanovich, the rebel leader, captured Leon and tied him up in his basement. He also reunited with Ada Wong once again before President Belikova's guards surrounded them.

2 Helping Ada Wong Once Again To Escape Chris & Piers

In Resident 6, once again, Leon and Ada reunited. Chris and his sidekick Piers were ready to put down Ada Wong once and for all, but Leon and Helena Harper, a fellow Secret Service agent, stopped them.

However, it turned out to be the right thing to do because the Ada Wong, who killed most of Chris's men was not the real Ada. In fact, she was Derek Simon's recreation of Ada, named Carla Radames.

1 Killing His Own Fallen Comrades

After a mission-gone-wrong during the New York Outbreak in Resident Evil: Vendetta, Leon Kennedy almost gave up his life because he was the only survivor of the mission.

After that, he was forced to kill all of his men who were already zombified. Such a tragic event led him into a depression, and he found himself at the bottom of a bottle later on. Even though killing them was the right thing to do, it was still such a tragic event to cope.
