It seems like fans of well-loved video games like Resident Evil Code: Veronica are increasingly becoming more hardcore by the minute. With no official news of a Code: Veronica remake from Capcom, fans have taken the situation into their own hands. Now, a fan-made version of the title that has been in production for some time is finally being launched this 2022. The devs have recently announced a launch date window alongside releasing a teaser trailer of the remake in action.

Though Capcom has already released several remakes of older Resident Evil titles in the past few years, some titles such as Code: Veronica seem to have slipped under the company's radar. This may be due to the video having a niched following, and is lesser known than the mainstream titles such as RE2, RE3, and etc. However, with a fan-made remake already well underway, Capcom may need to re-think its strategy, and consider putting Code: Veronica on their list of potential remasters in the future.

On Twitter, the devs of the Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake officially announced that the game will be playable this 2022. No specific date has been shared yet, but Code: Veronica fans will already have something to look forward to this year. A teaser trailer was also uploaded on YouTube, showcasing visuals and gameplay of the video game. Many players will likely find similarities between the fan-made remake and Capcom's Resident Evil 2 Remake, especially since many details were patterned after the official game.

According to the fan-made remake's official site, the game will be released in three chapters, which will be playable for four hours each. However, the launch date window of 2022 does not indicate if all chapters will already be available by then, or if the devs will stagger the release of each chapter. The devs are also interested in releasing several game modes for Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake once the project is finished. However, there is also still the danger of the fan-made remake's production being canceled, if Capcom decides to push legal matters and pursue creating its own official version.

Nonetheless, fans of Resident Evil Code: Veronica seem very pleased by the remake's teaser trailer, with many expressing their excitement to play the game. A demo is also available on the game's site, for fans who want a taste of what the remake will bring. Hopefully the devs release the game in the early quarters of 2022, so that fans will be able to experience the title sooner than later.
