Ever since the reveal trailer for Resident Evil 8 dropped on June 10th, there has been massive speculation regarding the game in terms of its setting, mechanics, and narrative direction. While there's still a lot that remains unknown regarding the finer details of the game, numerous leaks and rumors have spread online. One such leaker has now confirmed that the game will feature PlayStation VR support.

Dusk Golem on Twitter confirmed the existence of PlayStation VR support after answering a question regarding frame rate consistency. Although Dusk Golem previously stated that the game would not have PS VR support, it now seems that the game will be compatible with PlayStation VR. A welcome feature, considering how popular Resident Evil 7 VR was during its release.

In case there was any concern over the validity of Dusk Golem leaks, the user has successfully predicted many of the game's features well before the reveal trailer. This includes Chris Redfield's redesign, Ethan Winters returning as a playable character, and the in-game setting. The user even correctly stated how the game would be called Resident Evil Village days before the reveal trailer. Thus, it's safe to assume that the information is accurate.

With all of this being said, fans would be wise to take any and all leaks with a grain of salt. The game is still in development and many aspects about the game are subject to change. Unless Capcom or members of the development team officially announce any new information, then any outside information should not be taken as seriously by comparison. Nevertheless, hopefully the developers deliver on their promise to make this the most gruesome game in the franchise.

Resident Evil 8 is set to release sometime in 2021.
