The Baker family in Resident Evil 7 was easily one of the most threatening casts of antagonists in the entire Resident Evil series. The Bakers were clearly dangerous and unpredictable; they were difficult to read or understand which made Ethan's position all the more intense. It seems as if Capcom found its best selling point for Resident Evil 8 without even really trying.
Although Lady Dimitrescu was made to be the fearsome villain of the newest game, she doesn't appear to be scaring many players away from joining Ethan on his dangerous quest to find his daughter, Rose. If anything, Lady Dimitrescu is bringing in players that weren't even interested in the franchise to begin with!

This blood-thirsty Countess is capturing the hearts of many but at what price? Lady Dimitrescu isn't just bringing in the boys, this beautiful vampire is most definitely also a ladies lady. However, this love for Miss Alcina obviously comes at a price that's difficult to ignore; as she doesn't seem like the most friendly character in the series.

Maybe the plan all along was to use the Countess' beauty to lure victims into Castle Dimitrescu; generating hoards of smitten fans into the dangerous Resident Evil 8 village. Almost every joke and meme about the newest Resident Evil game revolves around the immense amount of love for either Lady Dimitrescu or her slightly smaller vampire daughters.
