Looks like Capcom didn’t unveil all of its surprises during the Resident Evil 8: Village showcase event. The developer recently added a Resident Evil Village Complete Set Collector’s Edition to its online store in Japan. The price tag sits at around 30 times the cost of the base game and is tailor-made for the ultimate Resident Evil 8 fan.

In addition to everything included in the Resident Evil 8 Collector’s Edition, the Complete Set Collector’s Edition features three new items: a 1/6 scale set of equipment miniatures, an illustrated book titled “Village of Shadows,” and Chris Redfield’s buttonless chester coat. The Complete Set Collector’s Edition costs 192,500 yen, the equivalent to about $1800 USD.

The 1/6 scale set of equipment miniatures features in-game weapons and items, including everything from a grenade launcher to an ornate statue of what appears to be a goat. The set of miniatures all sit in a briefcase-like box lined with a red material.

The “Village of Shadows” is a fully illustrated storybook, featuring a tale read by Mia in Resident Evil Village. The few images that can be seen on the website contain the figure of what appears to be a woman beckoning a child in the distance. The story could possibly expand on the lore of Resident Evil 8’s mysterious vampire lady.

It seems like Capcom is making a habit of producing high-end replicas of its characters' wardrobe, as the keystone item of the Complete Set Collector’s Edition is Chris Redfield’s buttonless chester coat. This gives fans of the series the opportunity to own the same jacket worn by the iconic character in his Resident Evil Village appearance. According to the site, the jacket “has been commercialized under thorough development supervision” and will be delivered in a “special box.” The jacket is available in M, L, and XL sizes.

The Resident Evil Village Complete Set Collector’s Edition is currently available on Capcom Japan's online store. According to the listing, the set only includes copies of Resident Evil Village for the PS4 and PS5. Buyers should also be aware that some of the items may only contain text written in the Japanese language.

This news comes on the heels of Capcom’s Resident Evil showcase event, which featured new gameplay footage and the announcement of Resident Evil Re:Verse. Those interested in taking a terrifying tour of Castle Dimitrescu can play the stand-alone Resident Evil Village demo on PS5 today.

Resident Evil 8: Village launches on May 7, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
