It’s been months since Capcom has mentioned Resident Evil 7, but news coming out of Japan indicates that the company isn’t quite done with the game just yet. Not only has the free Not A Hero expansion been dated for December 14th, but it will launch alongside newly announced DLC called End of Zoe.

Not much is known about Resident Evil 7‘s End of Zoe DLC, except that it will star Zoe Baker and be set after the events of the base game. We also don’t know if the new DLC and the Not A Hero release date apply to regions outside of Japan, but one has to imagine that an announcement on that front will come sooner rather than later.

In other Resident Evil 7 news, Capcom has also announced a special Gold Edition of the game, though it’s also only confirmed for Japan at the time of this writing. Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition is scheduled to release in Japan on December 24th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and will reportedly come packaged with all the DLC available so far as well as the expansions that have yet to launch.

So, those that decide to pick up Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition will be treated to the critically-acclaimed base game, the Banned Footage DLC, the Not A Hero DLC starring Chris Redfield, and the newly announced End of Zoe DLC for 4,990 yen, or about $45. There will also be a PS4-only physical version of Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition that will cost 5,398 yen.

While those that have already played Resident Evil 7 thoroughly may be more interested in the new DLC than the Gold Edition, the re-release could appeal greatly to those that have held off on picking up the game. If so, Capcom could boost the game’s sales, and help make up for the fact that, despite selling an impressive 4 million copies, Resident Evil 7 missed its sales target.

Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition should be a good deal when it releases in Japan on December 24th. In the meantime, those that live elsewhere in the world will have to keep an eye out for a release date outside of Japan, as well as news on when they can expect to see the End of Zoe and Not A Hero expansions.

Resident Evil 7 is available now for PC, PS4, PlayStation VR, and Xbox One.
