If you have yet to check out Resident Evil 4, the entry that revitalized the horror shooter franchise, Capcom is giving you one more chance to check out the title, this time on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Released via the respective console’s digital distribution service, Resident Evil 4 will include the HD version of the popular GameCube title along with the ‘Separate Ways’ epilogue and all of the previously released bonus content for the game.
In preparation for the title’s release, Capcom has outfitted the game with a set of trophies/achievements to help guide you through Leon’s quest to save the President’s daughter. Though most of the achievements are rooted in story progression — and therefore won’t pose much incentive to those who have previously completed RE4 — there are two that require a bit more exploration and might not have been completed the first time around.
‘The S Stands for Stylish’ and ‘What are they Worth?’ are two achievements that reward the player for collecting/earning some of the bonus items that are available in the game. Despite being ancillary to the core experience of Resident Evil 4 they do offer some serious gamerscore points if you are into that sort of thing.
Here is your complete achievement list for Resident Evil 4 HD:
It Begins With a Ring: Ring the mysterious bell. What happens after that, is up to you. (50)
Do Not Shoot the Water!: Summon the master of the lake. Don’t rock the boat. (50)
A Rock and a Hard Place: Outmaneuver the rampaging beast, El Gigante. (50)
Secure the Ballistics: Rescue the president’s daughter, Ashley. Afterwards, the real fun begins. (50)

For any gamers that have yet to check out Resident Evil 4, but have become intrigued by the franchise’s new over-the-shoulder look featured more recently in the likes Resident Evil 5 and Operation Raccoon City, we highly recommend picking this HD version up. It might still have a few of the problems inherent to the game’s design (why can’t I run and shoot?), but it’s still one of the true gems to come out in 2005.
There is currently no word on pricing or a hard release date for Resident Evil 4 HD, but we expect it to be reasonably priced for the amount of content offered and to be out before the year is up.
Are there any gamers out there who have yet to check out Resident Evil 4, who are interested in checking out this HD version? Anyone that has played through the game, but wants to relive the experience?
