Today is a big day for Resident Evil fans now that Capcom has finally confirmed the remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which was rumored to be in development several days ago. Along with the announcement, the first trailer for the game was also unveiled at Sony' State of Play presentation today, which gave players a preview of the game that revolves around the escape of series veteran Jill Valentine from the zombie-infested Raccoon City.

Capcom also confirmed the release date of Resident Evil 3, which falls on April 3, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Now, players who are excited to relive Jill's escape from the hands of Nemesis would be happy to know that pre-orders for Resident Evil 3 remake would go live today. As of the moment, most major retailers still haven't listed Resident Evil 3 remake on their websites except for Best Buy, where players can pre-order the game right now, but it is expected that other retailers will have the pre-order available soon.

Players who will pre-order the game will be getting the Classic Costume Pack as a bonus, which contains the original outfits of the game's characters. As of the moment, Best Buy's listing still hasn't indicated the pre-order bonus but says that more information will be coming soon. Moreover, a Collector's Edition of the game was also announced and will include a Jill Valentine statue, digital soundtrack, physical map of Raccoon City, collector's art book, and a S.T.A.R.S. item box packaging. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 3's latest trailer also showed several of the game's supporting characters such as Brad Vickers, Nikolai Zinoviev, Mikhail Viktor, and other UBCS mercenaries. The preview also confirmed the character designs that were previously leaked several days ago, most notably the outfit that Jill Valentine wears in the game. Gone are Jill's tube top, mini-skirt, and knee-length boots from the original game, and were replaced with a tank top and jeans, which is a more practical choice for combat. However, as previously mentioned, players who would rather prefer the original costumes can pre-order the game to receive the Classic Costume Pack as a bonus.

Resident Evil 3 is set to release on April 3, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
