Resident Evil 3 Remake is the most exciting announcement of last 2019, heightened by Capcom's confirmation that it will launch on April 3. With only so much time left before the highly anticipated release's launch, Capcom is delivering a ton of exciting trailers and teasers for the game. Today saw the latest reveal for Resident Evil 3 Remake, a new trailer focusing on the game's terrifying villain Nemesis. The two-minute-long trailer is full of tense action as Nemesis hunts Resident Evil 3 Remake's protagonists.

The Nemesis is perhaps the Resident Evil franchise's most terrifying villain. Not only does he endlessly pursue Jill Valentine, but Nemesis is so much more threatening than other enemies. The creature is much more intelligent and physically capable than Umbrella's other undead creations, like the Tyrant Mr. X. Capcom does a great job of showcasing that threat in its new trailer. For those who played and loved Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake is going to escalate things a bit.

In a short written profile for Nemesis, Capcom described some things players can look forward to being terrified of when facing the villain. For example, the Nemesis is more than capable of using weaponry, whereas the Tyrant tended to lean rather heavily on punches. A flamethrower is shown being used by Nemesis in the trailer, while a separate screenshot shows it with a rocket launcher. The Nemesis also has long tentacles, which it uses to climb and lash out at enemies.

Compared to Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 Remake, the Nemesis in the new Resident Evil 3 Remake is a terrifying threat escalation. Where Mr. X was very much the slow, inevitable zombie, Nemesis is malicious and overwhelming. It appears to be toying with Jill in several scenes, brushing off her attacks and healing through any extreme damage. This zombie monstrosity gets angry.

The latest update from Capcom also introduces other Resident Evil 3 Remake enemies and characters in a lengthy blog post. For example, the original Resident Evil's Hunter enemies are back, but instead of leaping they'll move with a reptilian finesse to avoid attacks. The post also introduces characters including Carlos Oliveira, Nicholai, Ginovaef, Mikhail Victor, Tyrell Patrick, Murphy Seeker, as well as some of Raccoon City's residents. Raccoon City may be dying in Resident Evil 3 Remake, but the living are still trying to survive in the cit's bones. Expect more information about Resident Evil 3 Remake in the months to come.
