Anticipation for the Resident Evil 3 remake is building and there is plenty for fans to be excited about. After the return of Resident Evil 2 was a huge hit many began wondering if other classic titles from the series would be remade. As it turns out, Resident Evil 3 is getting similar treatment and the Twitter account of the series has released some very intriguing images from the early stages of the new remaster.

A Resident Evil 3 remake has been long sought after and fans will get to play a much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing version of it this year. Like most of the Resident Evil games, the third title is a survival horror game where players have to navigate monsters and find items. Interestingly Resident Evil 3 and 2 take place at the same time, but the third title is a shorter, more contained story.

The new concept art may show ideas of how the team behind the game intend to give the game more longevity. In keeping with the style of the series, all of the images are full of gore and mystery, and it will be interesting to see how the art is contextualized in the game. The art does have plenty of Nemesis and fans of the old game will be keen to see if the terror of the character remains in this remake. Resident Evil 3 has pleased fans with the content it has teased so far, and many will hope that it can live up to the increasing expectation that the teasers are building.

When the game is released there will be plenty of debate about the positive aspects that have been updated and the changes that fans don't like. Whether it will manage to please fans as well as Resident Evil 2 remains to be seen, but Capcom will be keen to continue its successful franchise. There are rumors of a Resident Evil 8 coming to consoles, but it seems that the earlier entries and their remakes are drawing a greater amount of attention from fans.

It will be fascinating to see how Capcom and the series adapts with its current success in remakes and continues to bring players in with new ideas. At the moment fans will have to wait for more information about Resident Evil 8 and 3, although it must be said that Resident Evil 3's concept art looks set to deliver more of what players want from the series.

Resident Evil 3 is scheduled to release on April 3, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
