Ever since Capcom announced the upcoming remake of its classic survival-horror game, Resident Evil 3, the studio has been consistent in releasing preview trailers, gameplay footage, and even a playable demo to keep fans excited. While previous trailers of the game focused on Resident Evil 3's iconic villain Nemesis, Capcom just released a new preview that pulls focus on the upcoming game's heroine, Jill Valentine.

Unlike previous trailers of Resident Evil 3, the latest one opened with a short preview of Resident Evil Resistance, which revealed that Jill Valentine herself will be a playable character that will be added in a future update. It is currently unknown whether Jill is the only character from the main game that will be making an appearance in Resistance, but it is not unlikely for Carlos Oliveria to also be included in the multiplayer game. It is also worth remembering that the beta version of Resident Evil Resistance is now available, so players interested in trying out the multiplayer game can download it right now.

Now, the trailer of Resident Evil 3 itself mostly focused on Jill Valentine and her relationship with Carlos Oliveria and how the two struggled to rescue survivors and leave Raccoon City in one piece. The trailer also showed a sneak peek of new locations, most notably an expanded Raccoon City Hospital where Jill uncovered massive Umbrella operations beneath it. As of the moment, it is difficult to pinpoint just how much new locations and storylines Capcom introduced in Resident Evil 3 remake, but this trailer alone suggests that the order of several of the game's events will be switched around and the remake is also set to introduce more realistic puzzles.

Of course, a Jill Valentine-centered trailer wouldn't be complete without an appearance from her relentless stalker in the game. Throughout the new trailer, Nemesis is seen pursuing Jill and using weapons that were already shown in previous trailers. However, the preview ended showing Nemesis in his mutated form, which is something that was never shown in any promotional materials before. It is currently unknown how many variations of the monster will be featured in the remake, but players can be certain that Nemesis will be more menacing than his original counterpart.

Last week, Capcom released the highly-anticipated playable demo of Resident Evil 3, which gave fans a short taste of what to expect in the upcoming game. The preview did reveal just how much Resident Evil 3 will offer balanced gameplay that perfectly combines survival-horror with heart-pumping action. Moreover, the demo also included a short encounter with Nemesis, allowing players to witness just how terrifying the new monster will be like in the upcoming remake.

Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Resistance are set to release on April 3, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
