It won't be too much longer before survival horror fans will finally be able to dive into Capcom's long-awaited Resident Evil 2 remake, with the forthcoming title set to release in just about two months from now. While players await the game's launch, they can now pore over a fresh batch of stunning screenshots that not only feature the full reveal of the publisher and developer's designs for Ada Wong, but also a look at a semi-incognito Tyrant and more.

As seen in the stills found below, Resident Evil 2 fans looking forward to the remake will likely delight in the way in which the development team has modeled Ada Wong, as it is both faithful to the style of the original character and has nearly impeccable enhancements. What's more is that a couple of images seem to reveal that Ada is a playable character at a certain point. And, if anything, the screenshots are yet another testament to how impressive the visuals coming out of Capcom's RE Engine are, with the graphics appearing to outshine those of the excellent RE7.

For those unaware, Resident Evil 2 fans had initially been worried that Ada Wong wouldn't sport her iconic red dress in the remake, as Capcom had been adamant about there being multiple character redesigns for the project. After all, both Leon and Claire's looks were reworked to suit the remake's updated sense of style, with certain elements of the co-protagonists' original outfits being retained, and others being discarded. So, fans' concerns weren't totally unfounded at that point.

Taking all of this into consideration, it definitely looks as if the Resident Evil 2 remake is shaping up quite nicely, especially if the above screenshots are any indication of the final product's quality on Day One. Of course, while great graphics are an important element of a game's creation, they don't necessarily mean the gameplay itself will even be serviceable. Thankfully, though, fans ought to be able to rest easy knowing that the RE2 remake took home the Best of Show for E3 2018, indicating that Capcom should be delivering a solid, if not substantial effort come next year.

The Resident Evil 2 remake is set to release on January 25, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
