Capcom's popular remake of Resident Evil 2 has seen its fair share of mods, with one recently putting the viral Internet meme of an overpowered Shaggy into a fight with the Tyrant, Mr. X. This is not the only meme-inspired mod to hit the survival horror game, as someone recently added CJ and Big Smoke from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the Here We Go Again meme.

For those unfamiliar with the meme, it takes place early in San Andreas when the main character, CJ, finds himself in hostile territory otherwise known as Rolling Heights Ballas country. Upon this realization, CJ echoes the phrase: "Ah s***, here we go again." The meme then photoshops CJ and his famous line onto scenarios where the player might be dreading a return to.

This mod replaces Resident Evil 2 protagonist Leon Kennedy with CJ and repeating antagonist Mr. X with Big Smoke, who betrays CJ at one point in San Andreas. With the video below highlighting encounters with Big Smoke, it certainly seems like the Here We Go Again meme was the inspiration point, even if it is not part of the audio in the mod. Nevertheless, repeat encounters with Big Smoke/Mr. X certainly fit the bill.

This Resident Evil 2 mod comes courtesy of a YouTuber known as BeastGamingHD who has made other mods for the survival horror game in the past, including one that focused on Thor and Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War. And while BeastGamingHD's mods lend toward the cooler side of the modding community, there are some mods that are unconventional at best, with one namely turning all Resident Evil 2 zombies into Tofu.

Another extremely weird Resident Evil 2 mod turns Mr. X into Thomas the Tank Engine, so if nothing else, the modding community is known for its creativity. With the ability to play as CJ, to face off with Tofu, or even run away from Thomas the Tank Engine, it's easy to see why Resident Evil 2 mods are so popular.

Resident Evil 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
