When Resident Evil 2 Remake released last January, the game was received with overwhelmingly positive reviews and served as an example of how remakes are done. However, after months since the game's release, the Resident Evil community has been consistent in releasing mods ranging from Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 to Pennywise from the movie IT.

It appears that mods for Resident Evil are still a thing despite the game releasing 10 months ago. Now, a new mod recently surfaced for Resident Evil 2 that puts the Goose from the Untitled Goose Game in the survival-horror game. To the uninitiated, Untitled Goose Game is a stealth puzzle title from developer House House. The game's unconventional premise quickly captivated the video game industry that led to Untitled Goose Game dominating Nintendo's charts.

Of course, outrageous mods are no longer new in Resident Evil 2. Several months ago, a mod was introduced in the game that replaced Mr. X with Thomas the Tank Engine. Now, modder Alister is using the popularity of Untitled Goose Game with a new mod that swaps Mr. X with the Goose as it tries to stalk protagonists Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield in the Raccoon City Police Department.

Currently, Alister revealed that the mod is still a work in progress and downloads for it is still unavailable. However, the modder promised that "the final version will include extra HONKS," and that Mr. Goose will keep Mr. X's fedora hat "because he is just so Fancy like that."

Meanwhile, Capcom's Monster Hunter World revealed several weeks ago that the game's expansion called Iceborne will see a crossover event with Resident Evil. In the trailer released by Capcom, Resident Evil 2 stars Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield were featured in the Monster Hunter World universe. The crossover event will introduce plenty of horror-themed cosmetic items, which will include Resident Evil 2 skins. The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne/Resident Evil crossover event will be available in November.

Resident Evil 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
