As Resident Evil has developed into one of the most formative and longest-running franchises in video game history, the characters that lead its games have similarly become iconic within the medium. Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Chris Redfield are all some of the most notorious faces associated with gaming, with fans genuinely begging for them to appear in each subsequent iteration of the franchise.

One of the most popular Resident Evil mainstays is Claire Redfield, who originated in Resident Evil 2 before later reappearing in Resident Evil: Code Veronica and other gamesLuckily for fans of the popular franchise veteran, Belgian clothing brand Ark/8 has been working on an authentic piece of merchandise centring around the beloved hero, with players now able to pre-order a limited edition replica of Claire's signature jacket.

The replica looks to be a stunning remake of the version of the leather jacket present in the recent Resident Evil 2 remake, featuring its crimson red coloring and, of course, the embossed "made in heaven" logo with the large angel on the back. According to Ark/8, it also boasts strong metal zippers, a "subtle" patina, and "premium grade leather." It looks to be a striking rendition of the character's notorious attire and one any Resident Evil aficionado will no doubt be interested in acquiring. As Ark/8 has made plenty clear, there are not many jackets being produced, so those who want one will have to hop online and pre-order before it's too late.

Buying the jacket from the US store will set Resident Evil lovers back $450 and it comes in extra small, small, medium, large, extra-large, and 2XL. According to the site, once pre-ordered, players can expect to get the licensed jacket by the end of July. Other details on the site reveal its collar will have snap buttons that can be adjusted for size and that it will have a total of six zippers spread between the sleeves, chest, and front.

The news comes directly before today's coveted Resident Evil Village stream, with the broadcast slated to talk more about the upcoming 8th mainline entry in the franchise and some other, unannounced projects. The prevailing rumor is that some form of multiplayer spin-off will be announced during the stream, similar to how Project Resistance was unveiled alongside Resident Evil 3 back in December 2019. Other potential reveals for the broadcast have been rumored to be the unveiling of a playable demo and potentially an official debut of the game's release date. All will be revealed later today, with the stream beginning at 2 PM PT.
