Glowing Fragments are rare items that can be used to purchase armor skins and craft items in Remnant: From the Ashes. Gamers can find the fragments in several different places, but the most reliable ways to acquire them are traveling to the Fetid Pool dungeon in Corsus and activating a Cryptolith Sigil.

Glowing Fragments are also common boss drops. Players that defeat bosses on higher difficulty settings will get more fragments. Likewise, world bosses drop more fragments than dungeon bosses. The only other way to find these fragments is to play survival mode and eliminate elite enemies, but the drop is uncommon. This guide will walk players through the best ways to collect Glowing Fragments.

Fetid Pool in Corsus

Remnant DLC

Gamers that make their way to the Fetid Pool dungeon will find 25 fragments in one of the cages at the end of the instance. To open these cages, players will need to locate two Acid Cleaned Keys. Gamers that have explored the entire dungeon will hopefully have at least one. Before players can pick up either of the keys, they will need to have a Rusted Amulet in their inventory. The necklace will drop at some point from an enemy in the dungeon. The amulet can be crafted into a key by equipping it and crouching in the pools of acid. The acid will corrode the amulet and turn it into the first acid-cleaned key. Each of the cages opened with the key holds different items and materials.

Creating Multiple Keys

Getting the key and farming the fragments is much easier if gamers have a few friends to help them. Loot is shared in Remnant, so each player in the squad will have the amulet, which can be used to craft the key. Instead of going to the acid pools after getting the first amulet, players should leave the dungeon and re-enter to find three more amulets.

Unfortunately, the game will usually not let more than one player have a key at a time. However, teams can just have one player dip in the acid pool and unlock one cage at a time. With six Rusted Amulets, players can open six out of the eight cages. One of the cages is empty, so gamers can get most of the loot with six keys.

What To Open

In the first room with the locked cages, there are four cages and a gate that can be unlocked with the key. Players should unlock the necklace cage on the opposite side of the entrance first. The necklace is "The Heart of Darkness" a powerful item that players will want to get their hands on. Next, gamers will want to open the gate on the right of the entrance. The gate will lead to the other cages, one of which contains the Glowing Fragments.

At the top of the stairs, players will see a locked gate straight in front of them. The gate will contain 25 Glowing Fragments. Players can repeat the process over and over again to get 25 fragments every time. To reset the loot, players will have to leave, re-queue, and start the process all over again. Once the other locked cages have been looted, players will only need two keys to open the first gate and open the gate with the Glowing Fragments.

Cryptolith Sigil (Swamps of Corsus)

Queen ready for a fight

Players will first need to visit the Iskal Queen on adventure mode. If gamers bring her the Guardian's heart, she will offer the Cryptolith Sigil as a reward. Players can fight her for a boss drop or just walk away. Now, gamers will need to find the Cryptolith. With each world roll, the tower will spawn in a different location. Usually, the Cryptolith will spawn midway through Corsus. It may be frustrating to find, but eventually, players will be able to find the tower and activate it with the Sigil. Once activated, players will receive one of the Labyrinth armor pieces as well as 25 Glowing Fragments. Each Sigil players find can be activated, which will yield another piece of armor as well as 25 more fragments.

Using The Fragments

Rigs Remnant From The Ashes

Gamers can use Glowing Fragments as currency if they speak to Whispers who is in Ward 13. The NPC sells dozens of different armor skins for a steep price. Each skin will cost gamers at least 400 Glowing Fragments. Some of the skins will cost 1,000 fragments. The best way to get a lot of these fragments is by farming them in the Fetid Pool. It will be a grind, but 40 playthroughs should do the trick.

While in Ward 13, gamers can speak with an NPC named Rigs. He will able able to craft the Adventurer Goggles as well as the Hero's Sword using the Glowing Fragments. Rigs will need 100 fragments for the sword and 50 for the goggles. Players can also craft these items with scrap, but using the fragments is an option.
