Remnant: From the Ashes, a Dark Souls-like game from Darksiders 3 studio Gunfire Games, gives players a variety of ways that they can upgrade their character. One of the best ways that Remnant: From the Ashes players can give themselves an advantage in-game is by upgrading their weapons, but they'll soon hit a roadblock when they need Forged Iron to upgrade their weapons past level 5. Some may be confused as to where they can get Forged Iron, but they shouldn't stress about getting it until later on in the game.

The first world players are free to explore in Remnant: From the Ashes is Earth. While exploring Earth, they will come across a variety of enemies and face some tough bosses, but eventually, they will be able to continue on to the next world, which is called Rhom. Rhom is the first place where Remnant: From the Ashes players will be able to get their hands on Forged Iron, and it's accessed just by advancing the story.

Once players have upgraded one of their weapons above level 5, Forged Iron should start spawning in other areas of the game as well, including Earth. This means that players don't have to just stick to Rhom to continue upgrading all of their gear in the game, which is rather convenient.

As previously mentioned, there are other ways that players can improve their character in Remnant: From the Ashes. Besides upgrading weaponry, they can also earn XP and get Trait Points that can be used to improve their Health, Stamina, and other stats. Additionally, they can also get more Dragon Heart uses, which should help them stay alive longer during the tougher boss fights.

To upgrade the Dragon Heart in Remnant: From the Ashes, players first need to find the Root Mother. Then they need to collect 10 Lumenite Crystals and 1 Simulacrum. With these items in their possession, Remnant players can then visit the Root Mother in Ward 13 and upgrade the Dragon Heart.

With these tips in mind, Remnant players should be able to upgrade their characters and have a much better chance at success than they would have otherwise.

Remnant: From the Ashes is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
