You know how sometimes, even though you wish there were a ton of great new games to play, there just aren't? Well, this is one of those times. It's slim pickins out there this week, folks. How slim? Man, Rory was right - the summer lull is hitting full force this week.
Arguably the biggest game of the week is Electronic Arts' latest stab at bringing Need for Speed to a persistent online world (anyone out there remember Need for Speed Online?). It's free to get started, so, if your PC is up to the task, you might want to check it out.
In further racing game news this week, Trackmania comes to the Wii. The PC version is a veritable institution, with scores of dedicated players all over the world. There is really nothing quite like it on Wii, and it just might prove to be worth a look.
For me, the big news this week is (once again) a downloadable title: Summer of Arcade inaugural game Limbo. Dark, arty, minimalist platforming with a distinctly sinister tone, Limbo -- for me -- stands head and shoulders over everything else being released this week.
But enough about me -- what about you? Excited about any of this week's new releases? Are there any games coming up that you are particularly interested in? Comment away!
