When it comes to progression in Redfall, guns have some great drop rates. Getting a complete lineup of legendary weapons only takes one or two hours. However, while players will max out their level by playing naturally, this advancement is extremely slow.
Even the first few levels can take hours, so getting to the max level feels like a chore that will take months. There is a simple trick to leveling up fast in Redfall that players can follow. It's not a complicated trick, by any means, but it does change what most gamers are used to doing.
Stick To The Main Missions
Enemies do yield experience when they are killed but this amount is extremely low, even on the toughest difficulty settings. STndard wisdom is to kill lots of enemies between missions but this doesn't work so well in Redfall. As far as experience per hour goes, the best thing to do is the main missions.
Go straight to the main missions and don't wander around or participate in unnecessary fighting. Completing these main quests gives huge chunks of experience. The game doesn't take long to beat when targeting these missions and the reward of leveling up makes it worth the effort.
Knock Out Side Quests Next
After knocking out the campaign, there will still be some unfinished business. The max level will still be a ways off. At this point, missions are still the best way to get experience, but try out the side missions. They only give a little over half of the experience of a main mission but they're also quicker, usually not taking up too much time for narrative or multiple steps.
The best survivors will make this process snappy. If they can take out enemies or infiltrate toward checkpoints, they have a distinct advantage over the others. If players find themselves exploring for fun and killing enemies along the way, this is fine, it's just not the ideal way to level up.
