During Microsoft and Bethesda's recent E3 broadcast, Dishonored developer Arkane Studios revealed its newest project, announcing a multiplayer vampire game titled Redfall. The game received a launch window of Summer 2022, where it'll debut exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The official description for Redfall claims the game will be an open-world co-op experience, teasing that players will be able to choose from a large roster of heroes as they battle against a horde of vampires that have taken over the town of Redfall, Massachusetts. Much like Microsoft's other exclusives, it'll be available on Game Pass the day it launches.

The game's cinematic announcement trailer shows a crew of eccentric vampire hunters teaming up to battle a horde of undead foes, with the squad seemingly separated into various classes. One hunter, for instance, appears to use a crow to scout ahead of the pack and wields a sniper rifle, while another is able to launch herself into the air using supernatural powers. There even seems to be a support robot that assists the team, with the nimble machine hopping between the hoods of cars and fighting back against the vampire threat.

They'll need all the special abilities they can get to face off against the vampire threat, with the teaser making plenty clear that Redfall's antagonists will have some deadly tricks up their sleeves. If the clip is anything to go off, they'll outnumber players and be able to utilize dark magic and other paranormal abilities to keep them on their toes.

Redfall appears to be the next major release from Arkane Studios, coming after the developer drops Deathloop on PlayStation 5 later this year. While that game is being helmed by Arkane Lyon, this new title is being developed by Arkane Austin. It already looks to be a fun new project for the team and one fans of the popular studio should keep their eye on.

While Redfall capped of Microsoft and Bethesda's E3 show, the rest was filled with highlights. Halo Infinite, Stalker 2, and Starfield got brand new trailers, while the showcase saw the announcements of A Plague Tale: Requiem, Forza Horizon 5and a new update coming to Sea of Thieves that crosses the series over with Pirates of the Caribbean. It offered a much clearer look at Microsoft's plans for this year and beyond, cementing plenty of release dates and showing off several new games.

Redfall is slated to launch next Summer for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
