About a couple of months ago, an accidental listing by the retailer GameStop revealed the existence of Red Faction: Guerrilla Remastered, which led many to speculate exactly when the title would come to current platforms. Now, the video game publisher THQ Nordic has officially confirmed the release window for the updated version of the third-person shooter, as it's set to become available at some point during Q2 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
According to a press release from THQ Nordic, Red Faction: Guerrilla Remastered will feature visuals that have been completely reworked with improved textures, shadow rendering, lighting, as well as a shader and post-processing refinements. What's more is that the company promises to include "native 4k support" for consoles such as Xbox One X in order to provide fans with "the finest up to date Mars destruction experience ever."
All things considered, THQ Nordic seems confident it's giving fans what they want with Red Faction: Guerrilla Remastered, and it makes sense considering the success of the multitude of remakes and remasters that are coming out these days. That said, though, the company will surely do its best to offer a more diverse range of products with other new releases in the future as well, for the publisher currently has a slew of games in development – most notably, the all-new property dubbed Biomutant.
Red Faction: Guerrilla Remastered is currently slated for release during Q2 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
