Alex McKenna is an American actress who played the popular character Sadie Adler in Red Dead Redemption 2. According to McKenna, she's game to return to the franchise in a big way with the next installment.

One of the main characters of Red Dead Redemption 2 is Sadie Adler, a recently widowed rancher who rises through the ranks of the gang of outlaws to become a respected gunslinger. Rockstar Games has been creating noteworthy male characters for several generations of consoles, but Sadie Adler is a character that showed the company's range in storytelling.

Alex McKenna is looking forward to the next Red Dead Redemption title, but she wants Sadie Adler to play a bigger role when it releases. McKenna is advocating for Sadie Adler to become the protagonist of the next Red Dead Redemption as the actress believes she's the coolest character across her illustrious acting career. Considering how big of a role Sadie Adler played in Red Dead Redemption 2, it may not be a big stretch to see her leading a gang of her own in the inevitable sequel.

During a recent discussion on the Dan Allen Gaming YouTube channel, McKenna discussed how she played Sadie Adler in Red Dead Redemption 2 over the course of five years. Over those five years, McKenna fell in love with the character who continues to hold a "very specific place" in her heart. Red Dead Redemption 2's production ran from 2013 to 2018 and McKenna was playing Sadie Adler periodically throughout the process.

"I do very much love Sadie Adler," said Alex McKenna on the Dan Allen Gaming show. "I got to play her for five years so she holds a very specific place in my heart and also, maybe the coolest character I've played to date in my career."

Alex McKenna isn't the only person who has expressed interest in returning to the franchise in a big way. Rob Wiethoff has also expressed interest in returning to RDR as John Marston in Red Dead Redemption 3 if Rockstar Games is interested in revisiting the character. Whether the sequel to RDR2 focuses on the female lead of Sadie Adler or brings John Marston back to the forefront, it's expected to have a lengthy development cycle to ensure the quality that Rockstar Games fans have come to expect from the developer.

"It's a real privilege to be part of a game that's a real piece of art and it's a real privilege to play a really badass character. The fact that she's also female and she's an autonomous character outside of being somebody's wife, somebody's mother, somebody's love interest; she's just this incredible character with such a gift. She rides with the boys and she fights better than most of them. That was a really cool thing, particularly given the time period."

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available right now for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
