Red Dead Redemption 2 remains one of the most popular games even after nearly four years since its launch. The game receives widespread critical acclaim for its immersive story and gameplay, with the game's devs paying particular attention to minute details to make it more realistic. Moreover, the enormous open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 boasts an exhaustive list of flora and fauna, including predators, farm animals, and several herbs.

The sheer variety of animal species in Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of its praiseworthy qualities, allowing gamers to test their hunting abilities. Players often stumble upon some rather strange occurrences, such as when one fan reported an interesting detail about rabbits in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Another commendable aspect of Red Dead Redemption 2 is the NPCs' behavior and how they interact with Arthur. Communicating with NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 feels more like a real conversation than talking to an AI-driven character. Despite this, sometimes these interactions can be truly hilarious, as one gamer found out. Reddit user Aqualungerr uploaded a video showing Arthur communicating with another NPC, John Marston's son Jack. The clip begins with Arthur and Jack greeting one another as the latter plays with a toy in the dirt. Then things take an unexpected and amusing turn.

The video shows Arthur getting closer to Jack and eating an herb called common bulrush, a useful herb for horses in Red Dead Redemption 2 that is highly toxic for humans. As a result, as soon as Arthur finishes consuming the herb, he suddenly begins vomiting on Jack, seemingly directly on his head. Surprisingly, Jack responds to Arthur's poor manners as he remarks, "I can smell you! Stinky!" to which Arthur mumbles, "Sorry, I'm in a world of my own."

This peculiar but funny interaction between Jack and Arthur is one of the many instances in Red Dead Redemption 2 that make it one of the most realistic games. There aren't many video games where the main character can throw up after consuming a toxic substance, and that on another NPC. Jack's response to a feeling of disgust after being vomited on further reinforces the player's perception of conversing with a real person instead of a video game character.

In addition to witty NPC interactions, as mentioned above, horseback riding in Red Dead Redemption 2 is arguably the best among all video games. One gamer recently spliced a video of first-person horseback riding in the game and real-life horse riding to show the striking similarities between the two.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
