Red Dead Redemption 2 has a massive open world full of Easter Eggs and hidden details for fans to discover. Even though the game has been out three years at this point, some Red Dead Redemption 2 players are still making new discoveries, stumbling upon things that they never noticed during any of their previous playthroughs of the game. So while most of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Easter Eggs were likely found years ago, there are those who are still finding them for the first time themselves.

Such is the case with Reddit user GoldenCanadian, who is on their third playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2 and is still finding things in the game that they have ever seen before. While out exploring Red Dead Redemption 2's open world, GoldenCanadian stumbled on a gruesome scene of a dead NPC, seemingly mauled to death by the bear that's laying on top of him. Upon approaching the scene, they were able to get their hands on a special knife with a handle made out of a deer antler.

Movie buffs will recognize this as a clear reference to the award-winning 2015 film The Revenant, where something similar happens. This Easter Egg was first discovered in Red Dead Redemption 2 years ago, of course, but as illustrated by GoldenCanadian's post, there are those who are just discovering it now.

Fans of The Revenant film should definitely consider hunting down this Red Dead Redemption 2 Easter Egg just so that they can see it for themselves. Even those who don't really care for the movie or haven't seen it before may still want to make the trip, however. The special knife players can get from the scene of the incident makes the journey worth it, and players can add it to their collection of unique knives in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Those interested in finding The Revenant Easter Egg in Red Dead Redemption 2 for themselves will need to travel to an area northwest of Hanging Dog Ranch, north of Little Creek River. It's located in the West Elizabeth section of the Red Dead Redemption 2 map. It will take some traveling, but there are some other points of interest in the area that players can check out while they're there to make the whole trip worthwhile.
