For those who pre-ordered a digital iteration of Rockstar Games' forthcoming open world western title, the studio is giving them ample time to pre-load, as the game file can be pre-installed this weekend.

According to Rockstar's latest announcement on the matter, Red Dead Redemption 2 fans who pre-ordered a digital copy will officially be able to start the pre-load on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 12:00 AM ET. In order to get players even more excited for Red Dead Redemption 2's impending release, Rockstar has also announced that it will be debuting the open world western title's official launch trailer tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM ET. Although the developer didn't provide exact details about what the video will contain, players should expect it to provide as succinct a summary as possible of the sequel's gameplay, story, and graphical heft.

Taking all of this into account, it's safe to presume that plenty of Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are incredibly giddy at the prospect of soon finally being able to play the long-awaited sequel to what many consider to one of the finest games of the last generation. With this being the case, one can only hope that the followup from Rockstar Games manages to prove itself as a worthy successor to the original once it officially hits store shelves next week.
