Alongside today’s announcement that Red Dead Redemption 2 will make its debut on PC next month, Rockstar has revealed that the game will come with some additional bonuses that didn’t launch on consoles. As well as some multiplayer goodies, a graphical upgrade, and free bonus games available when pre-ordering from the Rockstar Game Launcher, there will also be some brand-new story mode content for players to enjoy.

Within the announcement of the eagerly anticipated port, Rockstar cited that Red Dead Redemption 2 will come with “new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons, and more." For console players considering making the leap over to the PC, this could be a major incentive, the already sprawling world of Red Dead Redemption 2 expanding even further in scope.

Bounty hunting missions and gang hideouts were two of the more significant examples of side-content in the console version of the game, each coming with their own set of explosive shootouts and engaging side-stories. The bounties even introduced new outlaws to the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, a couple of the encounters featuring cutscenes where protagonist Arthur Morgan confronted his targets. There will no doubt be a number of players pleased to see some new content feature in these side-activities, adding yet another reason to jump aboard Red Dead Redemption 2’s exciting debut on PC.

This news is especially comforting following the recent reveal that Rockstar is currently not working on any single-player DLC for the title. Last week, the developer shocked fans by revealing its focus wasn’t currently on any form of additional story content, a disappointing revelation for many who were hoping for a potential sequel to Undead Nightmare, the original game’s DLC. While fans were upset that Rockstar’s focus seemed entirely on multiplayer, it looks like Red Dead Redemption 2’s arrival on PC was also taking up a lot of the studio’s time.

Alongside this new story mode content, Red Dead Redemption's PC port will have complete access to Red Dead Online with current and upcoming updates, as well as a multitude of pre-order goodies. These include two classic Rockstar Games of your choice and some bonus game content, including the War Horse, a treasure map, and the outlaw survival kit. This is gearing up to be the most complete edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 available on any storefront, and luckily, players won’t have to wait much longer to finally get their hands on it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on Xbox One, PS4, and launches for the PC on November 5. A Stadia version will also launch in November.
