Red Dead Redemption 2 has received widespread acclaim from gamers and critics since its release nearly four years ago. The Rockstar Games title is known for its captivating storyline, action-packed missions, and exciting characters. Moreover, Red Dead Redemption 2's enormous map offers a myriad of activities to gamers, such as fishing, going to the theater, and engaging in side quests.

Besides the aforementioned aspects, the game is famous for its wide variety of flora and fauna species in the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 includes numerous wild animals like cougars, bears, alligators, and farm animals like fowl and livestock. The sheer number of animal species makes hunting one of the most enjoyable activities in the game.

The game devs have paid particular attention to detail to make hunting a realistic experience. However, quite a few times, these hunts don't go as planned as one Red Dead Redemption 2 player's rabbit hunt went horribly wrong. In a slightly different but equally bizarre incident, another gamer's hunt didn't go as intended. Reddit user Leonasc12 uploaded a video that shows Arthur trying to hunt the Legendary Wolf. This Legendary Wolf hunt is usually quite difficult and dangerous, but in the case of Leonasc12, it's a different story altogether.

In the video, the user is initially seen firing at the Legendary Wolf with their Lancaster Repeater while the wolf is sprinting across the screen. As the player adjusts their field of view to look at the wolf, it reveals something weird. Instead of pouncing at the player, the wolf suddenly stumbles, rolls over, and dies in a very anti-climactic way, leaving the user scratching their head. The user was possibly expecting a brutal bloodbath, but instead, they get a free kill. In a similarly bizarre incident, a Red Dead Redemption 2 player survived a charging black bear without using a single weapon.

The Legendary Wolf is one of the many legendary animals found in Red Dead Redemption 2. These animals are exceptionally rare and drop pelts which can be sold for a high price or used to craft valuable items. The Legendary Wolf's heart can be used to make the Wolf Heart Trinket, which allows players to consume more alcohol without getting highly intoxicated.

The Legendary Wolf is located in the Cotorra Springs region, part of the larger Grizzlies East area of the Ambarino territory. The region is near the Wapiti Indian Reservation and contains geothermal geysers and pools. Besides the Legendary Wolf, regular timber wolves are also seen here.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
