Nearly two years after its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 players are still finding new details in Rockstar's massive open world game. Recently, Red Dead Redemption 2 players came across a bit of dialogue in the game that is a funny reference to a major limitation that John Marston had in the original Red Dead Redemption.

During a Red Dead Redemption 2 card game, Arthur Morgan can be heard mocking John for his inability to swim. "Why don't we up the ante here? Loser has to strip and jump in the water. Oh wait, Marston can't swim." Marston responds to this jab by stating that he has "no intention" of losing the game. This is a reference to the original Red Dead Redemption, where falling in deep water meant instant death for John Marston.

However, some Red Dead Redemption 2 enthusiasts may have very well had their fill of the game's world and may be looking forward to what's coming next. Rockstar's next game remains a mystery at the time of this writing, but there are plenty of rumors about what it may be. Some think that Rockstar's next game will be Grand Theft Auto 6, whereas others think it will be related to the company's Red Dead Redemption series instead.

One rumor is that Rockstar is looking to make a Red Dead Redemption remaster for next-generation consoles. Whether or not that's true remains to be seen, but the company has shown a willingness to bring its older games to new platforms whenever possible. In fact, Rockstar has already confirmed a Grand Theft Auto 5 port that's in the works for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for release at some point in 2021.
