When fans don't get explicit information about what happened to a game's characters, it's often up to those who play through the game for hours and spend time crafting complex theories, and the Red Dead Redemption 2 player base is notorious for this. One particular RDR2 fan theory may shed some light on the fate of one member of the Van der Linde gang, specifically, who buried her after her death.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is well-known for having a well-rounded cast of characters from the protagonist Arthur Morgan and other members of Dutch's gang, to more villainous characters like Colm and Micah. Some players who haven't spent a ton of time in the game recently might have forgotten Jenny Kirk, a member of the gang who was wounded in the shootout during the ferry robbery and died from her injuries while the gang was fleeing to Colter.

The real question on some fans' minds is who buried Jenny Kirk, as it's already apparent in-game how she joined the gang and how she died. Reddit user ThisDangLaptop brought up this mystery during one of their many replays of Red Dead Redemption 2. The user noticed that Lenny mentions that the gang should give Jenny a "proper burial" in the mountains, and added that they're certain they could find Jenny's grave with a marker.

Because Rockstar is known for its detailed games, some players find it hard to believe that it wouldn't forget to add the information for who buried Jenny, and when. Several people agreed that a throwaway detail reveals Tilly to be the one who buried Jenny, and that Tilly mentions this to Lenny at a random encounter at camp.

Since there are just so much dialogue and details in Red Dead Redemption 2, it can be easy for players to miss side comments that NPCs make, especially when they're non-plot-relevant facts like who performed Jenny Kirk's final rites. However, since RDR2 is such a fleshed-out world, many people enjoy finding each and every mystery and reason behind certain events, no matter how small. It's also easy for players to get attached to certain NPCs, especially if they're with them when they're dead or dying.

Either players have to resign themselves to missing some dialogue or details, or they have to code-dive, or they can just play the game over and over and put tons of hours into it. For people who are passionate about the intricate masterpiece that they see Red Dead Redemption 2 as, that time can be well worth it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
