It wasn't long after Red Dead Redemption 2's launch that players discovered a way to glitch the game's gold bars, making them instantly rich. However, some players have had difficulty doing the gold bar glitch for one reason or another, and may be looking for other methods to cheat the game and get money. Luckily for those players, there's an infinite money glitch that requires no gold bars and seems a bit easier to trigger.

Before continuing, Red Dead Redemption 2 players who would prefer a video explanation on how to do the infinite money glitch should check out this guide from YouTuber Mida Life Crisis:

To do the infinite money glitch in Red Dead Redemption 2, players need to travel to Mattock Pond. After taking a look around, players should be able to find a tree stump with a lockbox inside it. When looking at the map, this stump should be located roughly around where the "C" is in "Mattock Pond."

After finding the tree stump, turn auto-save off, open the box, create a separate save file, and then load the new save. Travel back to the tree stump and players will find that the box is already open, and it is now giving unlimited wads of cash. Every time Arthur bends down to loot the box, he should come back up with $20.00. This can be done infinitely, so players can just sit there and collect $20 until they have enough money to buy everything in the game.

The infinite money exploit should help players who don't care about going through the game legitimately get rich fast. However, other players may want to know more legitimate ways to make money fast in Red Dead Redemption 2. As it turns out, the best way to get rich fast in the game is by following treasure maps, finding the gold bars they hide, and then selling those gold bars to fences for a nice profit.

Of course, the benefit of doing this infinite money glitch over the infinite gold bar glitch is that players don't have to do the extra step of visiting a fence, meaning Red Dead Redemption 2 players can become rich using this exploit with far less effort.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
