There are many things about the Rockstar Games' action-adventure title Red Dead Redemption 2 that have its fans continuously coming back for more. Besides the compelling storyline, and the unforgettable RDR2 cast of characters, the video game is also well-known for its realistic locations and breathtaking scenery. Now, another fan has shared their personal experience of replaying the Wild West-themed title, but this time through a massive curved monitor that emphasizes the beauty of its visuals.

Launched back in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 may be classified as an older game, especially since it was released before the arrival of next-generation consoles. However, RDR2 continues to be enjoyed by many gamers, despite its age. The game's highly active community lends no small part to the game's replayability, with a variety of inspired content constantly being shared to fellow players. What's more, unique Red Dead Redemption 2 mods allow players to completely revamp the game, giving them a fresh take of the story and settings no matter how many times they have gone through them.

On the Red Dead Redemption subReddit, user Corona94 shared that they have already replayed the cowboy-themed title six times. Though hardcore fans may think that replaying RDR2 six times is nothing to boast about, Corona94 posted an image that showed that their sixth runthrough was done through a 49-inch wide curved monitor. The posted photo highlighted the incredible field of view that a player can only experience through a screen that wide. With Red Dead Redemption 2's realistic visuals, this kind of gameplay would likely be incredibly immersive.

Replies on the Reddit thread expressed surprise and amazement at how good Red Dead Redemption 2 looked on the massive screen. Others wondered where they would even begin to look, given that the monitor was as wide as it was. Corona94 shared that they found it easier on their eyes to focus on the middle part of the screen, and use the rest as part of their peripheral vision. For the curious, Corona94 shared that their monitor was the ASUS ROG Strix XG49V, which costs roughly $898 USD on Amazon. They even created another video post to provide a longer look at the gameplay experience through the ultrawide screen.

For hardcore Red Dead Redemption 2 modders and fans, this kind of immersive experience would likely be an interesting thing to try. However, given the price of the monitor, upgrading to an ultrawide screen may not be as feasible for other RDR2 fans.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
