Trophies can make or break a game for gamers, with easier trophies being preferred. For fans of Red Dead Redemption II, the trophy list gives a bit of a challenge and offers players a chance to get a difficult platinum trophy. Rockstar Games is known for having difficult trophies in their games, and Red Dead II is no different.
Trophy hunting might be considered an addiction for some players, but for others it is a fun way to keep playing the game after the last mission. Here are 5 of the hardest and 5 of the easiest trophies that can be earned on Red Dead Redemption II.
10 Hard: Gold Rush
Just like Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption II has a trophy that requires players to earn 70 gold medals while playing missions. Unlike Grand Theft Auto V, stranger missions do not count towards the gold medals.
Requirements for missions range from completing an objective in a certain time to having great accuracy. Before going for the trophy, players will need to plan out each mission. Players will be able to breath a sigh of relief after the trophy pops.
9 Easy: Take From The Rich
This trophy requires players to rob or loot $250, which should come naturally as the game progresses. This trophy will most likely be one of the first non-story related trophies that player will get.
After gunfights, looting dead enemies will count towards this trophy. If you happen to finish the game without getting this trophy, good job on being one of the lawful Red Dead players.
8 Hard: Zoologist
The zoologist trophy requires players to study every animal -- except for the animals found on Guarma -- in the game. In order to study an animal, the animal must be alive. This includes animals that attack the player on sight, such as panthers and cougars.
To get this trophy, players will need to study the 152 different animals found in Red Dead Redemption II. Players will need to search all over Lemoyne, West Elizabeth, New Hanover, and New Austin for animals as big as bears to animals as small as rats. Another prize besides the trophy are drawings of animals that can be found in Arthur's journal.
7 Easy: Give To The Poor
This trophy can be acquired soon after the 'Take From The Rich' trophy, as it requires players to donate $250 to the camp collection box. Donating to the camp gives the player the opportunity to upgrade the camp, such as better living quarters and a wider variety of ammo the player can take.
The upgrades to the campsite are kept, benefiting the player. Sadly, members of the gang still ask Arthur to donate, even if all upgrades are acquired.
6 Hard: It's Art
This trophy can only be acquired after the player beats the game. It requires the player to hunt and skin perfect animal carcasses. After sending in one strand of animal pelts, the player must wait 24 in-game hours to get the next strand.
After completing all of the hunting, the player is given a squirrel statue that is dressed as John Marston. Abigail Marston does not like the statue, so she hides it 6 times. The player must wait 24 in-game hours between returning the squirrel, but after going to Mount Shann and finding the squirrel, trophy will pop.
5 Easy: Trusty Steed
As long as the player keeps the same horse from the start to the end of the game, this trophy will pop. All that is required for this trophy is the player reaching level 4 bonding with their horse. Reaching level 4 bonding will make it less likely for the player to be bucked off of their horse.
By feeding the horse, brushing the horse, and tying your horse to a hitching post raises the bond between the player and the horse. Along with the trophy, there is the benefit of having a sturdier horse.
4 Hard: Skin Deep
The 'Skin Deep' trophy will most likely be earned along with the 'Zoologist' trophy, as it requires the player to skin most of the animals found in Red Dead Redemption II. Lucky for players, only a few big animals must be skinned for the trophy.
Luckily, the condition of the pelt does not matter to earn the trophy. Poor pelts are just as good as a perfect pelt when it comes to skinning animals. If players go for 'Zoologist' at the same time, they are able to knock out two trophies at once.
3 Easy: Extreme Personality
To earn the 'Extreme Personality' trophy, players must either earn the highest honor or the lowest honor. Going on murder, robbing, or kidnapping sprees will allow the player to earn the trophy quickly, but players who want to do good can earn the trophy quickly, too.
During Chapter 6 of Red Dead Redemption II, Arthur is given the chance to complete multiple missions that will earn the player good honor. So if the player is between high and low honor, it is possible to earn the trophy quickly, no matter the play-style of the player.
2 Hard: Notorious
To get the 'Notorious' trophy, the player must get to level 50 in Red Dead Online. Getting to level 50 means the player needs to earn 200,000 XP. Luckily, players are able to continuously play online missions and earn XP through this.
Going from level 1 to level 50 on Red Dead Online will be a grind. Challenges, daily objectives, and completing role jobs are easy ways to earn XP. Along the way, leveling up will allow the player to buy new clothes, new horses, and new weapons, making it worth the grind.
1 Easy: Artificial Intelligence
After meeting Marko Dragic in Saint Denis, Arthur will be able to complete stranger missions relating to the scientist. The player then helps the scientist bring a robot to life, leaving Marko and the robot inside their lab.
If the player returns after a few days, the player will find a dead Marko Dragic and a missing robot. The trophy will unlock when the player finds the body, bringing an end to the scientist's career and the player's work for the scientist. The robot can be found on a mountain near Colter, repeating the word 'Papa'.
