Players have spent a considerable amount of time scouring Red Dead Redemption 2 for Easter eggs, subtle details, and any other small but significant things they can find out in the wild. More often than not, that means searching the wilderness high and low, but one player has decided to do the opposite: build their dream home.

Using a map editor, a player has constructed a house in Guarma, a fictional country players visit about midway through Red Dead Redemption 2's main storyline. The house resides on top of a mountainside overlooking the bay, giving it a gorgeous view of the ocean. The house isn't massive, but is tranquil, featuring all the amenities one would expect along with a cozy feel.

It's clear that the player put a lot of effort into the house, as there's a high level of detail throughout. It isn't quite the same level as the official content found within the game, but its impressive nonetheless. The house has been uploaded to Nexus Mods for anyone that wants to check it out for themselves.

Guarma has faced some criticism for feeling disjointed from the rest of Red Dead Redemption 2's story, though the location itself is beautiful. It's a major departure from what fans see in the rest of the game, featuring a host of tropical elements and various ruins scattered throughout. The story of Guarma is also interesting on its own, but doesn't quite fit the rest of the narrative.

Those interested in their own home should be able to create one with a map editor, though the option is limited to PC versions of Red Dead Redemption 2. Mods are, after all, one of the biggest perks of playing the game on PC, so it's worth checking some of them out, though they may restrict access to Red Dead Online.

Players have accomplished some incredible feats within Red Dead Redemption 2, and when coupled with Red Dead's interesting little details, it creates a wonderful experience. Players will likely continue to build homes in Red Dead Redemption 2 through unofficial means, so it will be interesting to see what kind of homes pop up next.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
