Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game filled with an incredible level of detail, but this doesn't mean that it's free of bugs. In fact, some of Red Dead Redemption 2's glitches may be as breathtaking as its gorgeous scenery, as one fan showed off during a short video dedicated to a bug that has become their new hobby.

Reddit user Tesko249 shared a 49-second-long clip showcasing a glitching bridge in Red Dead Redemption 2 that sends protagonist Arthur Morgan flying when he walks on it. This isn't the first time players have encountered a glitch like this, but it may be one of the first times a fan has exploited it to send Arthur Morgan soaring through the air for fun--and had him survive the landing.

In the video, Tesko249 has Arthur grab a stick of dynamite before running onto the glitching fridge. As soon as his feet touch its surface, he begins ascending into the sky and rapidly reaches the in-game clouds, after which he abruptly begins falling. This isn't the only way for players to launch Arthur Morgan high into the sky, but it's certainly a very striking method, especially once he starts screaming. After 10 seconds of falling and increasingly panicked yelling, Arthur finally hits the ground but does not die on impact. In fact, he doesn't even lose his hat from the force of the landing.

Arthur appears to hit the side of a grassy mountain, and while he clearly takes some fall damage, it's not enough to damage his outfit. He begins to roll as soon as he hits the ground, however. The screams are replaced by a series of loud "oof" sounds until the stick of dynamite finally goes off and destroys his hat. The whole sequence is a showcase of both the incredible level of detail that went into Arthur Morgan's creation and the bizarre creativity that fans can bring to their favorite games.

As of writing, it appears that other fans are interested in how Arthur Morgan survived Tesko249's new hobby. Several users were impressed that he hadn't even lost the hat until the dynamite went off, which is a notable break from Red Dead Redemption 2's dedication to realism. Another joked that he was lucky he didn't lose his shoes. A third user theorized that the game calculates fall damage by comparing the difference between the player's starting point and the point where they hit the ground, suggesting that Arthur Morgan survived this fall because Tesko249 managed to bring him down in the right area.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
