In a recent company earnings call, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick boasted that Rockstar Games' forthcoming open world title Red Dead Redemption 2 would redefine the gaming industry as we know it, with the companies now finally planning on unveiling actual gameplay for the release. As it so happens, the publisher and developer have announced that the first official gameplay reveal for RDR2 will be coming tomorrow on Thursday, August 9, 2018.

As seen in the image below, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games will be debuting gameplay for Red Dead Redemption 2 at 11:00 AM ET / 10:00 PM CT, with the footage being hosted through the developer's official website and its YouTube channel. Unfortunately, though, neither Take-Two nor Rockstar provided any additional details or hints as to what the gameplay footage will be focused on.

So far, Rockstar has managed to keep an extremely tight lid on the assets for Red Dead Redemption 2, with practically all of the materials that have been shared with the public having come straight from the developer. Bearing this in mind, Rockstar should be applauded for its efforts in maintaining the hype surrounding RDR2 on its own terms, as fans are practically champing at the bit to get their hands on a copy of the title, and the studio has only put out about two cinematic trailers for the sequel. Of course, Rockstar has also offered up a fair share of gameplay and story details, too.

Taking all of this into account, there's no doubt that fans of Rockstar Games are looking forward to the first official gameplay video for Red Dead Redemption 2, especially since the open world title's release is just a few short months away from now. Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily one of the most highly anticipated games of 2018, so gamers should expect a highly polished piece of gameplay footage to show up online tomorrow.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is scheduled to launch on October 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
