Red Dead Redemption 2 achievement hunters take note. In order to attain the "Best in the West" achievement on Xbox One or trophy on PlayStation 4, 100% completion will require finishing a troublesome mission to hunt down 20 elusive dreamcatchers. Collecting all of the dreamcatchers in Red Dead Redemption 2 will unlock a final destination where the player can find the Ancient Arrowhead treasure, unlocking a perk that doubles stamina when using the bow. What better way to make the process easier than with a map and notes regarding each dreamcatcher's locations?

There are a few other notes that may prove helpful along the way. For example, players will need to progress through Chapter 1 of Red Dead Redemption 2 before starting, as the dreamcatchers mission only becomes available in Chapter 2. The dreamcatchers themselves are less single objects so much as assorted trees with one or several dreamcatchers within their branches. They don't need to be collected in any order, but they're listed in a basic order for organizational purposes. And finally, after collecting all dreamcatchers the location of the Ancient Arrowhead cave will appear within the player's notebook.

Without further ado, here are the locations of Red Dead Redemption 2's twenty dreamcatchers.

1. East of Cotorra Springs, this dreamcatcher is up on a ridge north of the train tracks.
2. Quite a bit southwest of Window Rock, players will notice a fallen tree alongside the northern side of the road. Go up past the fallen tree to find the dreamcatcher.
3. South of the "S" in West, this dreamcatcher is up rather high on a mountain and is best approached from the south or east.
4. Following the dirt path south of the "E" in Valentine, this dreamcatcher is on the western side of the path before reaching the road to the south.
5. North of Dakota River and west of Caliban's Seat is an intersection. Just west of this intersection, north from the road, are several trees with the dreamcatcher at the front.
6. South of the Dakota River and west of Latneck Station is an intersection. Climb the hill to the east of the intersection and the tree is just south of the northeastern road.
7. North of Citadel Rock and north of the train tracks is a tree alongside a path in which the next dreamcatcher is to be found.
8. West of the "E" in New and west of the train tracks as the road intersects is a clumb of trees, with the dreamcatcher being in one a bit further in.
9. At the top of the "N" in Heartlands is a single dead tree with the ninth dreamcatcher.
10. Northeast of the Guthrie Farm and just south of the Heartland Overflow is this dreamcatcher tree.
11. In the "O" of Hanover in a forested area, the dreamcatcher is in a large, many-branched tree.
12. Northwest of the Aberdeen Pig farm and southwest of the intersection below the train tracks, there is a lone tree up the hill with the dreamcatcher in it.
13. Northwest of Lonnie's Shack, this dreamcatcher is in a tree north of the path.
14. North of both the "B" in Bluewater Marsh and the Kamassa River, this dreamcatcher is east of the railroad track and in-between the two paths as they diverge just north of the river.
15. South of the Elysian Pool and east of the "E" in Hanover, this dreamcatcher is in a tree uphill and past a boulder. (Note that this location is also near the cave where the Ancient Arrowhead is.)
16. So south from the "ES" in Annesburg and follow the road. After passing two boulders, go east to find the dreamcatcher in one of the closer trees.
17. South of the "U" in Annesburg is a road. Go south past this road and up onto the hill to find the dreamcatcher in a dead tree standing upon a ridge.
18. Just northeast of the second "N" in Annesburg, this dreamcatcher is just south of the intersection along the eastern side of the road.
19. South of Roanoke Valley and north of Annesburg, this dreamcatcher is just west of Kamassa River and west of an intersection in an open forested area.
20. Southwest of The Loft and downhill is a road. Continue southeast past the road and the dreamcatcher is in a dead tree.

After finding all 20 dreamcatchers, the player's notebook should show the final location as an "X" that isn't part of the larger connect-the-dots picture. This X, the eye of the buffalo, marks the location of a cave hidden by a waterfall at the north side of the Elysian Pool. This will hopefully be the final time players need to open their map for this mission.

Within the cave, keep going forward through the darkness. Use a lantern if you have one, or otherwise run and mantle through the obstacles. Take a right at the fork and then stay along the right side of the cave until a cave painting of buffalo is reached. The Ancient Arrowhead is found within the eye painting of the larger buffalo.
