If players are consciously sticking to Red Dead Redemption 2's critical campaign path, the game averages at around 60 hours for most players to complete. Of course, there is much more to Red Dead Redemption 2 than just its narrative campaign, and it is easy to become sidetracked when there is a wealth of optional activities throughout its open world.

Red Dead Redemption 2 features natural progression through the open world as Dutch van der Linde's gang must uproot and relocate several times throughout the narrative. Between these transitions are many scripted and random events that are baked into the game's design for players to experience. Despite a remarkable amount of time spent in-game, fans have been discovering dialogue that is unique to particular circumstances and events. For example, hidden dialogue has been discovered while playing dominoes in Red Dead Redemption 2. Now, CountCosmology has discovered dialogue that is unique to chasing witnesses.

CountCosmology has shared footage of Arthur Morgan in pursuit on horseback while chasing down a witness. As Arthur rounds a corner, he shouts aloud, "Come on, you don't have to hide." This indicates that the line of dialogue is unique to when witnesses attempt to flee from the player's sight. CountCosmology claims that they have not heard this dialogue in an alarming 2,500 hours spent playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Each witness encounter may be different based upon where they are and what the circumstances were, but it is surprising that the fan has not heard Arthur state that he knows the witness is hiding.

Optional events and side activities in Red Dead Redemption 2 may be entertaining. However, nefarious activities, such as robbing trains or banks, result in witnesses and authorities thwarting the player's actions with severe consequence. It is uncertain what act CountCosmology had committed to encourage a witness to flee, but the procedure is standard nonetheless. Crimes committed are commonly seen by an NPC, whether players believe they were isolated enough or not, and then players have an opportunity to stop them from reporting them to the authorities.

Players are given different interrogation options to choose from, with each determining how they want to handle the situation. Whether players let witnesses go with a mild warning or murder them on the spot will either increase or decrease the player's Honor. CountCosmology instead chooses to avoid the interrogation entirely, gunning the witness down with five revolver shots using the Dead Eye mechanic. With Honor largely insignificant, this choice would not impact CountCosmology's experience with Red Dead Redemption 2.

The unique dialogue may not be triggered often despite being unique to a witness hiding, or maybe the fan has not pursued a witness before where they had an opportunity to hide. Either way, it is exciting to hear that Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are continuing to find hidden dialogue.
